Here’s a fun project for you to try by SimplePaperMade on YouTube! Learn how to make these adorable plum blossoms using only craft papers, then use them to decorate your other DIY crafts or gifts. You can make a lot of them in just a few minutes and you can also be creative and add your own twists.

Materials:

  • Specialty paper or craft paper
  • School glue
  • Small beads
  • Craft tweezers
  • Single puncher
  • Skewer

Directions:

Step 1

Using a single puncher, make 6 pieces of round paper, then use the tweezers to fold the circle in half and do another fold across. Open it up and cut a triangle at the bottom, apply a  thin strip of glue on one side, then join the ends together to form a small cone, press together tightly, and let it dry completely. Then, once it’s all dry, push the center inwards, then flatten the center on the other side with the flat end of a skewer. This will be the center of the flower.

Step 2

To make the petals, simply fold the paper in half, then open it, and curve the upper end with a skewer by rolling it, while you pinch the bottom part. Repeat this process with the other 4 round papers. Take the paper piece that’s supposed to be the center of the flower, and fill the inner curve of it with school glue. Now, take the petals and start placing and layering them around overlapping each other a little bit. Dab a bit of glue in the center and place 3 small beads.
