Origami originated in Japan, and it’s the art of paper folding. True to its name, using only paper and a few folding techniques, you can create just about anything, shape, form, or object that you can think of. Origami projects can range from the very easy, which is perfect for beginners, to difficult or tricky, which is meant for people with advanced skills. Origami is a fun activity that you can pick up and is something that everyone can try, regardless of age or skill level.

Pro Tip

  • Depending on the type of paper you’ll use, joining the petals together would be easier if you use hot glue.
  • A thicker paper holds better shape, but it’s harder to keep joined together (this is also where hot glue can come in handy).
  • You can layer papers to make a flower with different inner petals.
