Get one accent fabric and cut it into 3 @ 2 1/2″ WOF. Repeat with the others. Take one strip of each accent fabric and sew them together along the long sides. Press the seams to one side. Repeat the process with the remaining ones for a total of 3 strip units. Once done, sub-cut into a total of 40 @ 2 1/2″ wide.
Get one jelly roll strip and sew an accent unit onto the short end of the strip. Press the seams all to one side using your fingers. Next, add another jelly roll strip to the accent unit, then another accent unit. Keep alternating until you have used all units and strips. You should now have a very long row ending with an accent unit.
Starting on the end with an accent unit, measure 71″ and cut. The first row should have an accent unit at the top. Next, cut a second row with the same length. Pin row 2 onto row 1 and sew from the top to the bottom of the row. Press the seam allowance to one side using your fingers. Do not stretch either the quilt or strips as you sew.
Repeat the process with row 3. Sew this row from the bottom toward the top. Continue adding rows and alternating the direction you are stitching. Keep doing it until you have 24 rows stitched together.
Iron the patchwork flat, then straighten the short ends of your quilt. For the inner border, cut 7 @ 2″ WOF. For the outer border, cut 7 @ 4 1/2″ WOF. Sew around all four sides.
