3 DIY Cleaners That Will Make Your Home Smell Great

A clean and well-maintained house sure looks beautiful and appealing, but a house that also smells great leaves a more lasting impression, especially to guests! Aside from keeping a healthy environment to live in, it is also nice if you can keep your house smelling fresh, too. However, this can be challenging for some because no matter how many cleaning products they purchase, it doesn’t last that long that you have to keep repeating the cleaning routine just to maintain the desired results. Luckily, Clean My Space on YouTube shares 3 of her best DIY cleaners that don’t only clean and eliminate odor but also save money.
Materials:
- Clean spray bottle
- Cool water
- Warm water
- Dish soap
- Essential oils
- Microfiber cloth
- Mop
Directions:
1.) Everyday Counter Cleaner
In a clean spray bottle, add 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil or a combination of scents that you prefer, then give them a good shake to combine and spray it all over the countertop. Let the solution sit for about a minute to give it enough time to work, then wipe it clean using a microfiber cloth, and make sure to do an “S” motion.

2.) General Floor Cleaner
In a clean spray bottle, add 1½ cups of water (much better if you use warm), ¼ cup of white vinegar, 1/8 cup of rubbing alcohol, 2 drops of dish soap, and 1 teaspoon or about 5 to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil or a mixture of scents that you prefer. Give it a good shake to combine, then spray it all over the floor, and mop as you normally would.
3.) Glass And Mirror Cleaner
In a clean spray bottle, add 1 cup of water, 1 cup of white vinegar, and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil or a combination of all your favorite scents. Give it a good shake until well combined, then spray it onto your mirror or any glass surface, and wipe it with a microfiber cloth using an “S” motion.
