Ever fancied making cheese at home? This cheese recipe from fixitsamo on Youtube will let you make your very own cheese at home – with only two ingredients! You can store this cheese for up to one week; or eat it right away after making it. It’s simple, quick, and absolutely delicious! Try this now by watching the video tutorial below for the step-by-step process.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups of whole milk
  • 6 tbsp of white vinegar (or lemon or lime juice)

Directions:

Step 1

In a pot, add 8 cups of whole milk. Bring the milk to a simmer over medium-high heat. (Stir constantly to keep the milk from scorching.) When it simmers, reduce the heat to medium. Next, add 6 tbsp of white vinegar a few at a time while stirring. You will notice that the milk will separate into curds and whey. After you finish adding the white vinegar, remove it from heat and let it sit for 15 minutes to complete the separation process.

Step 2

Next, line a colander with a double layer of cheesecloth. Scoop out the curds and drain them on the cheesecloth. After this, press the cheesecloth to remove the excess whey. Let it rest for 1 hour or until the cheese has reached your preferred texture. (The longer you wait, the firmer it will get.) After an hour, remove it from the cheesecloth. You can use it immediately or refrigerate it for up to 1 week.
