How To Make A Wooden Hammock

It has been my dream to have an outdoor hammock for so many years. I recently found this amazing hammock video tutorial by Dunn Lumber 1907 on YouTube, and it looked like the perfect hammock for me. The instructions were super easy and I already had some of the upholstery tools needed for the project, like a grommet setter. I had been working with macrame as well, so I had a little knowledge about rope tying. This Diy hammock looked like the perfect way to enjoy the summer in my new back garden and I could not wait to get started on this amazing DIY adventure.
Materials:
- Fabric
- Grommets
- A grommet setter
- 2 large metal rings
- A hammock base
- Rope
- A sewing machine
- Scissors
- A drill
- A ruler
- A carpenter’s pencil

You will start by marking and drilling your holes in the wood strip at each end of the hammock. Then you will follow the simple instructions in the tutorial that describes how to make the macrame ties that hold the bed of the hammock to the wood.
When you finish, the bed of the hammock will attach to the wood strips.
This hammock project is so amazing looking, I can’t wait to get started on mine.
