I recently made a patchwork dog and it turned out so cute. I loved it so much, that I went looking for another stuffed animal idea, and I found this DIY teddy bear video tutorial by Binc Bonc, on YouTube, and I loved it more than the dog I made. This lovely stuffed teddy bear also comes with a free pattern download that is so easy to follow. This is a perfect scrap buster, I am going to make my teddy bear from velvet scraps, that I found on junk clothing that I got at the thrift store. The teddy bear will be so cute in velvet, it reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit book.
Materials For The DIY Teddy Bear:
- Fur fabric scraps (or 1/8 yard of faux fur or velvet)
- Free Pattern Download
- Thread
- A pair of scissors
- 2 medium-size buttons
- 2 tiny buttons for eyes
- Soft pastel paint (for the teddy’s features, you could use makeup)
- A small paintbrush
