The Missouri Quilt Compay has done it again! This patriotic stars and stripes table runner will look perfect on your 4th of July table and your friends and loved ones are sure to love it. You only need a small amount of fabric, which makes this patriotic project an ideal scrap buster. You can certainly use some 2 1/2 inch wide jelly roll strips if they are red, white, and blue, but you will need some white backing fabric and red binding to make this patriotic table runner in the theme of our beloved old glory.

Materials:

  • 1/2 yard of red fabric
  • 1/2 yard of white fabric
  • 1/2 yard of navy blue fabric
  • Batting
  • A sewing machine
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • A ruler
  • A rotary cutter (not mandatory, but the rotary cutter makes all quilting projects easier)

Directions:

In this amazing table runner tutorial, you will learn how to make two quilt blocks in the classic Missouri star pattern. These two quilt blocks will go at each end and the middle is made of 13 2 1/2 inch strips that are simply sewn together side by side.

Then, you will attach the blue stars to each end of the red and white striped middle section. Then you will just attach the batting, the backing, the border, and the binding.
