I’ve always thought crocheting was hard, but Simply Maggie’s tutorial was very detailed and instructional. This a nice hobby to pick up on if you have time on your hands. I have a lot of yarn from when my mom used to crochet blankets for us when we were younger. Also, I love how the only material needed is the yarn, and you’re good to go on making this blanket. Blankets can be expensive, but with just the yarn, you can make a thick and chunky homemade blanket. Simply Maggie’s tutorial is slow and simple. I think it’ll be easy for me to recreate this blanket if I give myself an hour to focus.

Materials:

  • 12 skeins of LionBrand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in fisherman

Then, you’ll want to use 3 strands at one time to make a chain 30. If you want a wider blanket, create more chains. After, you’ll begin to single crochet your rows depending on your tension.

These blankets have always caught my eye when I saw them at Target, but they can run a little pricey. I’m glad I found a tutorial that is detailed and simple.
