Materials:

• tall pot
• dishwashing detergent tablet (or laundry tablet)
• essential oil or fabric conditioner (optional)
• boiling water

Directions:

Step 1

To start, place your dirty kitchen cloths in a pot placed over the stove, then fill it with boiling water, enough to cover them. Next, add a tablet of dishwashing detergent, then turn the heat on. Let it boil, leave it for one to two minutes, then simmer for another five to ten minutes. (You can also throw in your dirty sponges and towels.)

Step 2

Once done, remove the dirty water and rinse each item with clean water a few times. You can also soak them in clean water (after rinsing), add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, and leave them for five minutes (optional). After this, rinse them again and dry them completely for storage.
