This tutorial by Natural Home Remedies on YouTube shows the natural way to get rid of cockroaches. Baking soda and sugar will help break the cycle of cockroaches in your house, and they are not harmful to humans or pets. They are lethal for roaches. The baking soda and sweet smell entice the cockroaches out of hiding and they will eat the mixture. Once they drink water, the baking soda reacts and creates gas inside of the roach which causes their stomach to burst. I’m amazed by this natural home hack to kill cockroaches because I had no clue how the process works with simple ingredients.

Overall, the baking soda and sugar mixture is not a pesticide so it will not as quickly as chemicals, but it’s safer for pets and families. This is an inexpensive way to make your own cockroach bait at home instead of buying store-bought products that have chemicals in them. The chemicals can harm other humans and pets if they are unaware of what it is. I hate cockroaches, and I think I would be amazed at how many may be around the house. So, I think this would be a good idea to try out with ingredients that I already have in my pantry.
