If your floors are made of vinyl planks, hardwood, or laminated floors, then you probably have had scratches on them a few times or a lot! They’re quite stressful to see as they are often noticeable because the scratches expose the light-colored fiber inside them. Luckily, there is an easy remedy for this type of problem with the help of a stain pen, and this video tutorial by The Funny Carpenter on YouTube. It’s fast and easy, plus, it makes the scratches on your floor barely noticeable. You don’t also have to worry about the stains sticking to your socks or feet as they don’t stain once they have dried completely.

Materials:

  • Stain pen for wood
  • Dry paper towel
  • Wet paper towel

Directions:

Step 1

Make sure to wipe the floor clean so that there is no dust and dirt present when you start working on it. Next, grab a stain pen making sure that the color is the closest to the color of your floor, then draw on those scratches, and go along those lines. Grab a dry paper towel, then rub it along the stain to push it further on those scratch gaps.

Step 2

Next, wipe it off with a wet paper towel right away to remove all of the excess stains. Let the stain dry off completely and you’re done! You can use the same method for golden oak vinyl planks and mid-tone laminated floors. Just make sure to use a stain pen similar to the color of your floor.
