When I saw this sunflower hot pad video tutorial by Oana’s Crochet Channel, on YouTube, I really wanted to make one. This hot pad is so cute, it is just the perfect item to bring the Seventies Mid Century Modern retro vibe of my kitchen together in one item. It is so amazing how one single item can tie an entire room together, and this hot pad might very well do that. The sunflower hot pad is made out of soft breathable cotton yarn and the waves provide great insulation to pick up hot utensils while cooking. The fact that this hot pad is cotton makes it really easy to wash and sterilize between uses as well. This is going to be my nighttime project this evening and I can’t wait to start!

Materials For The Crochet Sunflower Hot Pad:

  • Yarn (in brown, yellow, and green)
  • A crochet hook
  • A pair of scissors

Directions:

In this sunflower hot pad video tutorial by Oana’s Crochet Channel, on YouTube, you will learn to make this gorgeous kitchen item in a few easy steps. You will begin by starting the center circle with your brown.
