You read that right. Toothpaste! I came across this video by Faith Chappelle on how to clean your white shoes, and she gets her white shoes looking brand new using only a few things to clean them, and one of those being toothpaste. Toothpaste is no my go-to for cleaning all white shoes. It takes the stains out and whitens them. to mention how much better your shoes will smell afterward.

Here’s What You Need For This Hack

  • Colgate Whitening Toothpaste
  • Bleach
  • Powder Oxi Clean
  • Spray Oxi Clean
  • Bucket
  • Laundry Detergent

Directions:

Step One

Scrub white shoes with toothpaste and soak in warm water and laundry detergent. sprinkle the powder oxi clean over the fabric of the shoes and scrub again. Remember to take your shoe laces out of your shoes before beginning the cleaning process.

Step Two

Fill a bucket with warm water, oxi clean powder, liquid and bleach. Allow your shoes to soak in the mixture for about 6 hours. Make sure to place something on top of the shoes to weigh them down while they soak.

Step Three

Wash the shoes in the washer for a quick cycle. Then allow them to air dry for 24 hours after washing.

This hack will have your shoes looking almost good as new.
