There might be a time where you have a mishap and spilled candle wax on the floor, but there’s a way to clean it. Clean My Space on YouTube shows how to clean candle wax spills with 2 different methods. I’ve accidentally lit a candle on my kitchen table and it spilled out all over the ground onto my wall, and I panicked. The candle I had were essential oils so they stained my wall. However, this cleaning hack would work for the spills that went onto my floor and counter surface. Although it is a tough challenge, it is easy to take care of.

The heat method

It’s important to note that the heat method does not work for colored wax on the carpet. It’s good for simple wax stains or white wax.  The materials that you need for the heat method would be an iron, paper bag, cotton cloth, and warm soapy water.

The ice cube method

The ice cube method works well if wax spills on a dish, colored wax or something that is not delicate. The materials needed for the method are an ice pack or bag of ice, an old credit card, a cotton cloth, and warm, soapy water.

Overall, if a white candle spills on your carpet, it will not stain it. However, if a colored candle drips onto your carpet, the dye from the candle can seep into the carpet. It’s important to let the wax cool before removing it. I’m going to need to try this out to see if it will save my floor and countertop.
