When I saw this enchanting video tutorial describing how to build an off-the-grid homestead in the woods by Bushradical, On YouTube, I just fell head over heels in love with this wonderful idea. This cabin is so warm and cozy, built with so many features that make an off-the-grid cabin living so comfy and inviting. The shell only took a while to build and the interior was all that Bushradical and his wife had to finish all alone. It seemed daunting at times but the results are so gorgeous, it really paid off. Imagine not having a mortgage, not having to pay rent, not having bills, so awesome of an idea.

There are so many wonderful features in this cozy cabin in the woods, one of my very favorite parts is the wood-burning rustic stove perfect for heating and cooking. This stove completes this storybook cabin in the woods so perfectly. The old-school potbellied stove just makes you want to be there on a cold winter night. Seriously, this cabin is right out of a fairytale. These split log cabinets are just so beautiful.

Then, the most fun part is getting to do the decorating.
