When you are trying to baste a quilt, it can get pretty difficult if you try to do it the traditional way, on a table or often on the floor. Many times we quilters find ourselves on the floor crawling around our work, more often than not, hurting our backs. When I found this awesome pool noodle quilt-basting idea by The Sewing Channel, on YouTube, I knew I had found a method of making my quilts in a much easier way.

Materials For The Pool Noodle Quilt Basting Idea:

  • 8 pool noodles
  • an Exacto knife (to notch the pool noodles to join them, to make them longer)
  • A quilt top
  • Quilt batting
  • Quilt backing

Directions:

In this awesome pool noodle quilt-basting idea by The Sewing Channel, on YouTube, you will learn how to baste a quilt using this very easy pool noodle method. You will begin by wrapping your quilt top around the first pool noodle.
