Ingredients Needed For This Recipe:

  • Sprite

  • Pepper

Directions:

Step One

Get out a refrigerator-safe container and place your steak in. Cover the steak in the sprite. In the video down below, Guga Food used one can of sprite for two $1 steaks.

Step Two

Place the container that is holding your sprite and steak into the refrigerator for two hours. The sprite will likely cause the steaks to bubble from the moment you pour it.

Step Three

Once the meat has sat in the refrigerator for two hours take it out. You should notice that the meat has lost a good bit of its color as well as become much more tender.

Step Four

Season your steaks using salt and pepper. Make sure to season them well and generously coat both sides.

Step Five

Cook the steaks until they reach an internal temperature of 135 degrees. The steaks will likely have bubbles when they sizzle from the carbonation in the sprite. Try adding a little butter onto the steaks when grilling them.
