Between now and Christmas I am hoping to post a series of easy handmade items for the holidays.  I’m  planning on posting ideas for simple, handmade gifts and decor.
Today I’m sharing with you these cute, fabric coasters.  These are really simple – if you are a beginner at sewing these are the perfect project to try.

This is a great way to use fabric scraps leftover from past projects. I’ve attached the tutorial for how to sew your own coasters so gather up your favorite scraps.

I love creating things where I can see the end result pretty quickly…that’s the way I roll. You won’t believe how simple these are to make and better yet, you can make these DIY fabric coasters to fit every decor. These make perfect handmade gifts for the holidays and I already have a few people in mind to gift a set to!

I’m always on the look out for bargains and I had bought some cork coasters from Bed, Bath & Beyond. They were cheap and looked good, but after only a few uses, they started to warp and tear.

Since I have been doing more sewing, my fabric scrap pile has been growing quite high and I saw these cute fabric coasters on Pinterest, so I got busy making some to replace the ones I bought for a bargain. These have held up quite well and I’ll probably have them forever!

Watch how this lady with OnlineFabricStore.net makes these darling coasters in her step by step tutorial.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
