Step 1

Place the pie crust in a 9-inch deep dish pie pan, then crimp the edges, and prick the sides and bottom with a fork. Place parchment paper on top, then fill it with baking beads, and blind-bake it according to the package instructions. After baking, set it aside to cool down, then preheat your oven to 350°F, and prepare the filling.

Step 2

In a saucepan, add the cornstarch, sugar, and salt, then add the cream and butter, and stir them together to combine, and then place the saucepan on a stove over medium heat. Bring it to a boil for about 1 minute just until pudding consistency, then remove it from the heat, and mix in the vanilla extract.

Step 3

Pour the prepared filling into the baked pie crust, then spread it evenly, and drizzle the melted butter on top evenly. In a small bowl, add the cinnamon and nutmeg, then give them a good mix, and sprinkle it all over the melted butter.

Step 4

Place it in the preheated oven, then let it bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, and transfer it to a cooling rack to cool for about 1 hour. After an hour, transfer it to the refrigerator, then let it chill for about 3 to 4 hours or until cold and firm, and serve. Enjoy!
