If you love butter cookies but don’t have an oven to bake them, then I’ve got good news for you! Because now, you can make them on your stovetop in as fast as 30 minutes and using only a few inexpensive ingredients. Thanks to Sunsets&Rains Kitchen on YouTube for this wonderful recipe! Proceed to read down below for the full instructions and watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the softened butter, powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract, and whisk them until they are smooth. Then, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch in a separate mixing bowl. Add this flour mixture gradually into the batter, and give them a good mix until they are well combined. Cut the tip of your piping bag and insert a star tip, transfer the batter into the piping bag.

Step 2
Pipe the batter onto a round baking tray, then refrigerate or freeze them for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will prevent the cookies to melt in the oven. Add a cup of salt to a large pan, then place a steaming rack in the middle, and preheat your pan on medium heat. Place the round pan containing the cookies on top of the rack, cover with a lid, then cook for about 30 to 35 minutes on medium heat. If you want to cook this in the oven, then bake it in a preheated 350°F oven for about 15 minutes. Let it cool completely then serve.
