Learn how to make this quilt block now by reading the instructions below and while you’re at it watch the video tutorial as well for more details. I hope you enjoy making this quilt project as much as I did.
Step 1
First, make a crumb quilt piece, then cut 4 squares in contrasting colors at 5×5 inches, and set them aside. Now, cut the background or white fabric into 4 squares at 5×5 inches for the half-square triangle, then cut 4 print fabric into 4 squares at 5×5 inches for the half-square triangle, and cut the white fabric into 4 squares at 5 inches for the corners.
Step 2
Stack a print and white square with their right sides facing, then line the wrong side diagonally from corner to corner, and stitch on either side of the line with ¼ inch seam allowance. Cut them apart along the line, then press the half-square triangles open, and square them to 5 inches.
Step 3
Stitch the block units together to make a sawtooth quilt block, then nest the seams, and press nicely. Make 3 more sets of sawtooth quilt blocks, then piece them together to complete the starry mosaic mini quilt, and press it nicely.
