Gel Base
To make the gel base, simply pour 5 ounces (150ml) of distilled water into a beaker or any similar cup, then add 1 teaspoon (3 grams) of guar gum, emulsify the ingredients, then add about a quarter teaspoon (1.5ml) of preservative (this step is optional, it is highly recommended to keep your shower gel’s shelf life longer and avoid growing mold). Lastly, slowly stir in about 2½ ounces of liquid surfactant (do not emulsify or blend).

Rich and Moisturizing Shower Gel
Combine the gel base, melted butter, carrier oil, and fragrance oil, then emulsify together. Slowly stir in the liquid surfactant.
Mint Fresh
Combine gel base, carrier oil (hempseed), mint oil, fragrance oil, then emulsify the ingredients. Slowly stir in liquid surfactant, jojoba seeds, and food coloring. Adding a bit of glycerin turns the gel base an opaque white.
Clear Sparkling Gel
Combine distilled water, guar gum, and a little bit of fragrance oil, then emulsify. Adding any more ingredients will turn the gel cloudy.
