Easy DIY Fluffy Bobble Rug Tutorial

Instead of buying rugs over and over again, make your own DIY rug using old toilet rolls and leftover yarns! This is also a great idea if you want to craft something easy and inexpensive or if you want to repurpose old materials that are just lying in your craft room or storage. Materials:
- Different colored yarns
- Scissors
- Empty toilet rolls
- Non-slip rug pad
Directions:
Step 1
Select the yarns that you want and use as much variety of colors as you want. Then, take two empty toilet rolls and lay them next to each other, wrap the yarn around both of the toilet rolls several times until it is thick enough. The more wraps you make the thicker the bobble will become. Once, you’re satisfied with its thickness, cut the yarn. Cut a piece of yarn then wrap it around the center of the two toilet rolls, then tie a knot securely.

Step 2
Carefully pull out the toilet rolls and leave them to one side so you can use them for the next bobble later. Pull the two knotted ends of the yarn really tight so that the yarn doesn’t move out of place. Cut the loops of yarn and trim the bobble evenly. The excess tails of the knotted threads will be what you’re going to use to attach the bobbles onto the non-slip rug pad. Repeat the steps above as often as needed and with as many colors as you like, until you have enough bobbles to cover the pad and the rug looks the way you want it to.
