Materials:

  • OxiClean
  • Drain cleaner
  • Essential oil
  • Windex
  • Hydrogen peroxide spray
  • Cotton swabs

Directions:

Step 1

First of all, make sure that the vents are clean as it collects dust and mildew which can cause the odor. It is also best if you keep rugs in your house at a minimum, rugs collect skin cells, moisture, and mildew, and the dirt and odor of the rug will depend on how frequently you wash them. Plus, having fewer rugs makes cleaning easier, too. Stinky drains could also be the culprit of the odor, that’s why you also need to make sure to clean the drain frequently, and you can also dump a generous amount of OxiClean directly at the drain as well.

Step 2

Next, grab a toilet roll, then add a few drops of your favorite essential oil on the paper itself, and then hang it on the holder. Now, let’s head on to the toilet, spray hydrogen peroxide generously all over the toilet, then spray the toilet brush as well, and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Don’t forget the toilet tank and spray on a generous amount of Windex to the tank, then let it sit for about half an hour, and flush. To clean the unreachable spaces, use some cotton swabs, and you’re done!
