Materials:

  • 5*7″ wooden picture frames
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Popsicle sticks
  • White chalk paint
  • Vintage chalk paint
  • Green foam wreath
  • Seashells
  • Burlap ribbon
  • Seahorse sign
  • E6000 adhesive
  • Scissors
  • 2 Styrofoam balls
  • Rope

Directions:

Step 1

Create the window frame. Disassemble the picture frames and carefully remove the screws as well as the glass, then attach the frames together using hot glue to build the window frame, and let it dry. Flip it over, then apply more hot glue at the back to secure it, grab some popsicle sticks, and glue them at the back to create a brace for the frame. Next, coat the frame with white chalk paint, then let it dry before applying the vintage chalk paint lightly for a rustic vibe. Take the green foam wreath, then attach the seashells around it using hot glue mixing the size and shape. Wrap a piece of burlap ribbon on top of the wreath, then glue the ends at the back of the window frame to hang the wreath.

Step 2

Next, get the seahorse sign you got from the Dollar Tree, then coat it with vintage chalk paint, and let it dry completely. Adhere the gemstones on top of the seahorse sign using hot glue and E6000 adhesive for a stronger hold. Wrap the 2 styrofoam balls with rope and adhere them with hot glue as you go along, once you’ve coiled the top of the styrofoam balls, wrap it in the opposite direction with rope with about 4 rows, then cut the excess. Wrap the rope again but in the opposite direction with about 4 rows, then cut the excess, cut a small piece of rope, loop, and attach to each top of the balls. Display all of this decor however you want.
