Now this is exactly what I needed! If you are looking for an easy one hour DIY project, this one is cheap and easy to build yourself. It is a new principal based upon an old one. A bottle opener mounted on a wooden board that has a box under the opener that catches the metal tops as you open a bottle.

They say the best camera is the one you have on you. I apply the same logic to bottle openers: the most desirable is the one you can find when you need it. Between keys and can openers and dedicated tools, I probably own seven or eight different bottle openers, and they all seem to be completely AWOL when their when I need one!

I got so tired of looking for a bottle opener every time I wanted to have a drink. The people in my household always put the bottle opener back in the wrong drawer.

I decided to search Etsy, because they have tons of awesome ideas. I found a lot of wall mounted openers that looked cool, but it wasn’t quite what I had in mind, so I decided to just make my own. I came across this awesome tutorial. This is the greatest! I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before now!  Now I don’t ever have to look for one again! It’s saved me lots of time and frustration. I mounted it to the wall, close to the refrigerator in my mud room. This is where I keep my sodas.

If you want to make one of these really cheap, you can use pallet wood and the only cost is the bottle opener, which is minimal.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
