Materials:

  • assorted A4 size paper
  • glue
  • stick
  • old newspaper
  • hot glue

Directions:

Step 1

Cut your A4 size papers into a bunch of strips measuring 0.5 cm x 29 cm. Put glue on one end of the strip, and attach another strip to it. Repeat this until you have a long strip. After this, roll it using a thin stick, and secure the end by gluing it. Make a bunch of these with varying sizes and colors.

Step 2

Next, get a piece of old newspaper, and roll it diagonally using a thin stick. Secure the end by gluing it. Make a bunch of these newspaper sticks, then start coiling them, connecting a new piece of newspaper stick whenever reaching the end. (This will be the base of the vase). Once you’re satisfied with the size, glue it to secure it, then start making the vase. Using hot glue, attach the rolled papers in an upward position on the base. Do this until you reach your desired vase height.
