I love Valentine’s Day, even though I don’t have a special someone to love, as I am divorced, I still like to decorate my home for Valentine’s day, because really I am my own Valentine. I care about myself and want to create a message to the universe that I will find that special someone one day. I had made a few things like the Doily Paper Heart Banner and a few others, but when I saw this DIY Valentine’s Day Candle Holder on Youtube I knew I had to get started on it right away. I went straight to Hobby Lobby and got my materials:

Materials:

  • 2 Minni Plaques
  • A Drill
  • White Craft Paint (or spray paint)
  • 1 pack of Dowel Rods
  • 2 packs of styrofoam hearts (1 white pack and 1 red pack)
  • A Hot Glue Gun
  • Gorilla Brand Glue Sticks

Start by drilling a hole into the mini plaque base and paint it white.

Then take a Doweling Rod and poke it through the middle of your beautiful glitter hearts (alternating colors of white and red)

Then you take the end of your Dowel Rod and stick it down into your base with a dab of hot glue (the Gorilla Glue Sticks work really well for gluing wood, but any glue stick will work)

Then you just put the other mini plaque with a drilled hole at the top of your beautiful candle holder by poking in the other end of your Doweling Rod into the base using a dab of hot glue again.

These DIY Valentine’s Day Candle Holders turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagine! I highly recommend this project!

Since I lover experiments, Iโ€™ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
