Tissue box holders are super cute and I know some people might think it’s super extra to have it cover up a cardboard box. However, I think it adds a nice personal touch to your home. Plus you can use any type of fabric or material that could fit in your style of home. Some people may think that having a tissue box cover is irrelevant, but I think it’s smart. This would be a perfect fit for your tissue box and you can add any embellishments for an extra crafty look. I love how this sewing tutorial by The Sewing Room Channel on YouTube because it is beginner-friendly. I think I can make this one of my first projects after watching this video. Growing up, my mom would buy tissue box holders for the tissue boxes. I’ve always thought, who would spend money on something like that when the box would just get thrown away in the end anyway? I didn’t think or realize how convenient it is after all.

Materials:

  • 2 different fabrics (1/3 yard of each)
  • optional trim (buttons)

Directions:

First, stitch the sides together. Stitch the short side to the long side and bring them on top of each other. Sitch 1/4 of an inch along the sides and stop the stitch at the bottom
