Make Your Own Rustic Wood Sign! (EASY TUTORIAL)

Are you looking for some wall art to go with your rustic decor?  I was and ran across this great tutorial for how to make a rustic sign with fence pickets!  I changed up the wording on mine, since The Woods weren’t calling me that day!  Then it occurred to me that these make great presents, with all kinds of great quotes that you can find on Pinterest!  This is also a good project to do if you want to make some extra money!  These are so quick and cheap to make, you can pop these out in no time at all.

I made a few of these to have for gifts when I need them.  It’s always great to have a gift as a backup plan when something unexpected comes up.  I know we all can relate to this!  I used different colors of paint on some of them, changing up the look a bit for baby gifts and other occasions. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like signs to put some place in their homes.

What she uses in this easy tutorial is small fence pickets, which you can find at Home Depot, or Hobby Lobby, paint stir sticks, you can get for free at Home Depot or any paint store, wood glue, wood stain, vinyl stickers from Michaels or Hobby Lobby, rubber gloves, plastic card or burnishing tool, and picture hanging hardware.
