DIY Pot People Garden Decor

I have found the cutest garden decor, and it’s this DIY pot people by HomeMadeDIYers. It was so easy and fun to make – you can get creative as you want. I decided to put mine on the stairs near my garden. I super love the dangling feet and the flower head! If you want to learn how to make it at home, keep on reading or watch the video below.

Materials

• 2 pieces of 6″ pots (for the head)
• 12 pieces of 2″ pots
• artificial or real flowers
• rope or wire
• paint

Instructions

Step 1:

Paint the top edge of the big pot in red or your preferred color. After that, paint the face. Next, paint the other pot for the body. They used white for the top edge and red for the body.

Step 2:

Paint 6 of the smaller pots in red.

Step 3:

Take 2 ropes for arms and 2 for legs. Make a double knot and pass the rope through one of the small pots. Next, make a knot about 2 inches away from the pot, then pass through the plain small pot. Make a knot about 2 inches away from the pot again and pass through a red small pot. Repeat the process for the other arm. You will do the same process for the legs but just alternate the colors.

Step 4:

Keep the arm next to the body. Mark the rope where it meets the center of the body. Tie both arms together to that mark. Place it on the body and check if it’s even. Pass the ropes into the head from the bottom. Take a small piece of wood or a stone and tie it to the ropes.

Step 5:

Pass the leg ropes to the body and mark the length you want for the legs. Tie it and secure a small piece of wood so the rope will not go through the hole.

Step 6:

Insert the leg ropes into the head and tie it to the piece of wood.

Step 7:

Put fake or real flowers on the head.
