If you’ve ever dreamed of marble countertops and then nearly fainted at the price, you NEED today’s post! When I saw how Giani Granite had created a faux marble table top, I just had to share their tutorial with you here because it is going to knock your socks off!
Instead of paying $650 for marble or even over $200 for marble-look laminate, watch how she paints this table top in the tutorial! I was amazed at the results!

To help make veining easier, buy a marble tile. It will help you better visualize what the veins really look like. Veins in marble usually run on a diagonal and they look like they are under water – slightly blurry.  I used my tiles as my guides.

I noticed that one person on Pinterest uses a feather, instead of a brush, but you can also use a piece of cardboard to paint the veins in the faux painted marble.

This is the coolest DIY project! I just love the way the Ikea table I painted turned out! This is so easy, you won’t believe it. I’m seriously thinking about doing the countertops, in my kitchen, this way. Marble is so expensive and I’m on a budget right now. My countertops need some serious upgrading, so I think I’ll do this in the meantime!

Make sure to watch how Giani Granite does this faux marble in their step by step tutorial.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
