One of my favorite things to do around the holidays, each year, is make a special ornament. I don’t have a lot of time to sit around doing crafts each Christmas, but I do allow some time each holiday season to make an annual ornament with my grandchildren.

I have three grandchildren, so our handmade ornament each year is some type of handprint. It’s a great way to capture a moment in time so I can pull it out each holiday season to remember how cute their little paw prints were. It’s amazing to see how they’ve grown over the years.

The great thing is, a handprint ornament is so easy to make, and they require very little in the way of supplies. I thought it would be fun this year to start making ornaments with the children to give to their Aunts and Uncles and other extended family.

There is something about crafts created with little handprints that absolutely warm my heart.

These can also be done with a mason jar lid. Either way, you can turn these into an ornament with a snowman family of four! I absolutely adore these precious little ornaments and I get excited, every year, when I pull them out of the Christmas ornament box!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
