I’ve recently discovered the cool world of epoxy, I had always thought it was a super difficult procedure but recently I realized that it really wasn’t difficult at all if you start with a simple Epoxy DIY like this fun project of making a Glittered Tumbler Water Bottle just using a neat tumbler water bottle that you buy at the Dollar Tree for one dollar! These glittered water bottles also make excellent inexpensive gifts for teachers and coworkers and they are always welcomed with a smile, so I already had a few people in mind that needed one of these blingy bottles so I couldn’t wait to do this project and I immediately got my materials together.

Materials:

  • Electrical Tape
  • Scissors
  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Super Glue
  • Tissue Paper In Color Of Your Choice
  • Paint Brushes For Stirring Epoxy
  • Small Paper Cups
  • Epoxy Resin
  • Paint Brushes
  • Plastic Gloves
  • Nytril Gloves
  • Drying Rack
  • Tumbler From Dollar Store

Directions:

First, cut your tissue paper up into small pieces and glue onto your Dollar Tree Water Bottle Tumbler.

Then apply more glue (I like to use Elmer’s) all over your tumbler water bottle and sprinkle glitter all over the surface.

Then you can apply decals at this stage (these came from Dollar Tree).

Then spread about 9 coats of epoxy over your DIY Glittered Tumbler Water Bottle (you may have to sand in between if you have any sharp edges sticking up).

These water bottles can make excellent gifts and are cute to use as decorations, even if you don’t put water in them.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
