You have to see how Ashley Spearman made these DIY storage bins by recycling diaper boxes!

My DIY project began when I was looking for some baskets to fit on a low shelf and could not find any that worked so I decided to make my own. The problem with the shelving unit we owned was every basket or bin I tried was either too big or too small.

I originally wanted a galvanized bin (which I bought but ended up using in our mudroom) but then, after seeing Ashley’s tutorial,  I tried some diaper boxes that I had from keeping my grand baby and they fit perfectly!

It seems I can never have enough boxes, baskets, or storage containers to keep everything organized. Can you relate? But store bought baskets and organizing things can be expensive, even when they’re on sale.

So I’ve been slowly creating my own baskets and beautiful storage boxes from old shipping boxes, diaper boxes, and other boxes I have on hand. I LOVE the results. And you will too, and, today, Ashley Spearman, The Handy Home Girl, will be showing you how to make your own basket out of a diaper box!

Watch how she does this in her step by step tutorial so you can get started!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
