Directions:

First, start off by making the pinwheels. On the back of (1) white or silver swirl square, draw a line diagonally from corner to corner. Layer the white or silver swirl square with one red and black check square, making sure to line up the edges. Next, once all of the pinwheels are finished, start to assemble the table runner. Arrange the pinwheel blocks and black birdhouse squares in a row as shown. Sew the border stripe, inner sashing, outer sashing, and runner end together.
