Materials:

  • Beads
  • Rope
  • Stick, for the branch
  • Birds
  • Colored paper, different color
  • Scissors
  • Mason jar
  • Glue gun and glue stick
  • Tape
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step 1

Remove all labels from your jar and make sure it’s clean. Wrap the bottle cap with the rope starting from the middle in swirl motion until you’ve reached the end, secure it with hot glue in each loop, decorate it with beads. Cut the different colored paper in small hearts, then take a medium-length piece of rope and unbraid it, do another piece or more to your liking.

Step 2

Attach the birds’ feet onto the branch (make sure the size of the branch is the same width as the jar), wrap a long rope on one side with hot glue, then loop it over to the other side, then wrap it on the end too, you’ll end up with a small swing. Fill your jar with the unbraided ropes, add in the hearts and beads as well. Next, attach the bird’s swing to the lid with tape, then wrap a rope around the neck of the jar tie it into a ribbon, and attach a bead on the center of the bow.
