Materials:

  • Binder and binder filler refills
  • Clothes hanger or coathanger
  • Baskets or bins

Directions:

Hack #1

Come up with a strategy of when to use your printed recipes, then gather all of those papers and insert them in a plastic sheet, and organize them in a binder. You should organize your pile and get rid of papers that you won’t be needing anytime soon, then organize the important files in a binder as well.

Hack #2

Keep track of what you’re wearing by arranging your closet. Hang your clothes facing the wall after using them, then hang them facing towards you if you haven’t used them yet. This method will let you see which ones do you use often and will help you part with clothes that you’re no longer wearing.

Hack #3

Prepare and place 2 baskets or bins in a somewhat convenient and hidden location. The first bin is the pile of stuff that you’re 100% sure that you’re not gonna need anymore and is up for donation, the other waste station is for those that you aren’t sure whether to keep or donate. You can check the 2nd bin from time to time if there’s anything that you’d like to use again but if they remain untouched then it’s time to get rid of them.

Hack #4

To easily deal with your pile of mail and letters, use different bins and separate important mail from junk, flyers, coupons, and from those that can be recycled.

Hack #5

To declutter and organize your utensils drawer, instead of going all through the pile, you can clean and place them in a large bin. Leave them there for 30 days, pull out anything that you might need from the bin, use, wash and replace them back into the drawer. Then at the end of those 30 days, pull out the tools you need on an occasional basis and separate them, and lastly, get rid of rusty and old stuff.
