When springtime rolls around, I always start thinking of cleaning out my house. I always seem to make a punch list, that I am able to complete, but the house does seem to get in disarray quite quickly, and I keep repeating my major punch list over and over. When I found this awesome daily cleaning habit video tutorial by Clean My Space, on YouTube, I realized that I had been going about my cleaning all wrong. Instead of tasking myself with a major overhaul every couple of weeks, why not get into the habit of doing little things each day that can help make my cleaning process so much easier. This video tutorial is full of so many tips that are all gems. By the end of the video, you will have figured out just what steps you need to be taking every day to keep your space clean and tidy in a truly lasting way.

One of the very first helpful hints to customize your own daily cleaning routine is the MIA rule, which is figuring out what your most important areas are. These areas are the places where you spend the most time, and when they are in total disarray, you can really feel your blood boiling. They may be your kitchen, bathroom, or in Melissa’s case the entryway. These areas should be kept tidy every day, even if other areas are not. My mom always said, clean the entryway clean because it is a gust’s first impression of your house. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.

Another great tip in this awesome video is to pick up whatever needs to go to the other room and take wherever you are going. You will be in a constant state of tidying, without even having to think about it.
