A lot of people rave over Olive Garden’s pasta and this copycat recipe by The Magical Slow Cooker on YouTube is made all in a crockpot. It’s a fun recipe to try out and try to recreate another restaurant’s recipe to see if it compares to its original. It’s an easy pasta dinner recipe to serve with breadsticks and salad. If you decide to have a full at home Olive Garden dinner, this would be a perfect recipe to add. This copycat recipe looks extra creamy and I would’ve never thought about putting Olive Garden’s Italian dressing. My favorite thing about pasta is how minimal the ingredients are required. Pasta is a fast and inexpensive meal to make too.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast (1.5-2 pounds works fine)
  • 16 oz. Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 16 oz. penne pasta (cooked according to package directions and drain well)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese

Directions:

First, add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. Pour over the Olive Garden Italian dressing and sprinkle over the parmesan cheese. Place the cream cheese on top. Then, place the lid on top of the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.

Next, once finished, take two forks and shred the chicken in the crockpot. Add the pasta to the chicken and sauce. Stir everything together, and sprinkle over more parmesan cheese on top and enjoy.

Overall, this would be an easy recipe to keep on days I want Olive Garden pasta, but do not feel like dining out. I would love to add some vegetables to this pasta dish because it reminds me of alfredo.
