When time is of the essence, nothing beats a quick crochet project. Craft fairs and last-minute presents benefit greatly from the availability of small crafts. There are a number of fast crochet designs out there that might help rekindle your crochet mojo in the event that you’ve exhausted yourself with a large job. You can save money by repurposing yarn that you already have in your stockpile. The following is a selection of free one-hour crochet projects from Littlejohn’s Yarn on Youtube. She provided free patterns contributed by other designers as well.

One Hour Crochet Bowls (pattern by Jessie at Home)

Materials:

  • Yarn
  • Yarn needle
  • Bowls

Directions:

Warming homemade soups, chilies, and stews are the norm in the fall. These adorable and practical bowl cozies let you add a personal touch while protecting young hands from hot bowls. They may also be used in the microwave.

You may make the bowl cozy till it fits around the bowl of your choosing, with the short sides reaching up to the required height. In the end, the long sides (with the ch-2 corners) will be longer, but that will be taken care of later on. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends when the cozy is the appropriate size. Then, finish the job.

Small, medium, and large bowl cozies depicted in the pattern images were all knit through round 8; the larger (glass) bowl cozies were crocheted up to round 13.

Directions:

Decorate your doorstep or mantle with these gorgeously textured pumpkins. To fit your decor, you may crochet them in any color you wish. In my opinion, these items would also be a big hit at craft fairs.

Make a rectangle about twice the length of the width, then sew and stuff it and you’re ready to go! They’re gorgeous pumpkins, to say the least. They’re so simple and enjoyable that you can decorate your entire home in only a few hours.

Small, medium, and big versions of the pattern are included so you may create a slew of them to use in a variety of settings.

Crocheted in Caron One Pound, but you could use any medium weight 4 worsted/aran yarn or, for larger chunkier versions, use that thick chunky monkey yarn you’ve been saving. I used Caron One Pound to create these tiny fellas.

You may use Lion Brand Heartland, Wool-Ease or Vanna’s Choice, Red Heart With Love or Soft in place of Caron One Pound.
