This cheesy Texas trash bean dip by Rowdy Roebers is always a hit, no matter the occasion. It is just so flavorful and cheesy – perfect for chips. This classic dip is packed with refried beans, sour cream, cream cheese, taco seasoning, chiles, and cheese. It is incredibly easy to prepare. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, then transfer to the baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over the bean mixture and top with jalapenos. Easy Cheesy Texas Trash Dip
- 2 cans of fat-free refried beans
- 8 oz of diced green chiles
- 1 block of cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 to 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- pickled jalapeños for garnish (optional)
How to Make Mexican Bean Dip
Step 1:
Start by preheating your oven to 350F.
Step 2:
Start by adding the fat-free refried beans to a mixing bowl, followed by green chiles, sour cream, some sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and taco seasoning. Mix everything until well combined.
Step 3:
Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly. Smoothen the top with a spatula.
Step 4:
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture then add pickled jalapeños on top.
Step 5:
Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. After that, broil for a few minutes until golden brown on top. Be sure to keep an eye on it a you don’t want the top to get burned.
Step 6:
Once done baking, let it cool for a few minutes before serving with Fritos or tortilla chips.
