This quick and easy creole shrimp by Mr. Make It Happen is an absolute treat for seafood lovers. The flavors are phenomenal. It’s perfect for movie nights, weekend snacks, or parties. Serve it with garlic bread, tortilla chips, or crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb large shrimp (slice each into 3 pieces, save a few pieces for garnish)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 red and green bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 to 3 stalks of celery
  • 1 to 2 jalapenos (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 8 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of lobster base
  • 1 teaspoon of worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of dry white wine or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons of roasted garlic
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • all-purpose seasoning
  • your choice of seafood seasoning
  • creole seasoning

For the baguette:

  • roasted garlic
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of parsley
  • garlic and herb seasoning
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Step 1:

Add the sliced shrimp in a bowl and season with all-purpose seasoning, seafood seasoning, smoked paprika and a little bit of smoked paprika. Toss everything to coat.

Step 2:

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook until it changes color. Remove it from heat before it gets fully cooked.

Step 3:

Add the cream cheese in a bowl, then immediately transfer the cooked shrimp.

Step 4:

In the same pan, add more butter. Once melted, add the jalapeno, bell pepper, onion, and celery. Season with a little bit of seafood and all-purpose seasoning. Saute until translucent. Next, add 1 teaspoon of lobster base. Mix everything together, then add the lemon juice and dry white wine. Increase the heat to high and burn the alcohol. When the liquid is reduced, transfer to the bowl of the shrimp and cream cheese. Let them cool a little bit.

Step 5:

Add sour cream to the same bowl, and mix everything together. Next, mix in Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Add all the cheeses and fold them in.

Step 6:

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle more cheese on top if preferred. Place inside the oven and cook at 350F for about 25 minutes.

Step 7:

Make the baguette. Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl. Cut the bread into slices and add to the mixture. Toss until they are well coated, then transfer to a baking sheet. Bake in the oven along with the shrimp.

Step 8:

Once the cooked is out of the oven, let it cool for 10 minutes before serving with the baguette or chips. Enjoy!
