I collect Mason jars because you never know what you are going to need them for. Hands down Mason Jars are a crafter’s staple. I recently had to furnish gifts to my Daughter’s entire school class and I was kind of stuck as to what gifts I could give to a large group. Thankfully I found this excellent DIY Candy Mason Jar Gift Idea Youtube video. Thankfully, I had a case of small Mason Jars that I had bought from Michael’s Craft Store a few months ago so all I had to do was make a trip to the grocery store and get my candies. I had all the gift dressings for these jars as well so this cute project was going to be a breeze. I got Hershey’s Kisses, Peppermint Patties, Milk Duds, Junior Mints, Life Savors, and M&M’s and filled each jar. I then used my card stock hole punch to make snowflakes using glitter paper and then I used some old gift tags leftover from last Christmas to personalize each DIY Mason Jar Candy Gift. Again, you can use whatever you have here, there is no real wrong way to do this DIY, if you enjoy paper crafts and scrapbooking this will be a dream project for you, just scrap, tie and cut away to your heart’s content.
When I arrived at my Daughter’s class with the case of Mason jars, I set it on the table and let my Daughter select each gift from the case and call the person forward to collect their gift. Everyone loved the Mason Jar Candy Gifts and the teacher was very happy because no one made a mess.
