Looking for some DIY Halloween decor ideas? I needed a centerpiece for my office Halloween party, the original plan of a buffet idea got nixed and the boss decided she on a more structured, sit-down dinner so she could make a speech for all her valued employees, to show her gratitude and appreciation for all of us. She wanted to bring her employees up one by one and praise how far each member had brought us as an entire team and present each one of us with a special gift. I started thinking, we were definitely going to need an arrangement on every table.
I found this great idea on Youtube for a DIY Sunflower Skull Arrangement. I remembered seeing those exact same tiny skulls at Dollar Tree last time I was there, so I went back and got a couple of bags. I already had a bunch of fake Sunflowers from an old Autumn bouquet project I had done last year. I got some cute vases from Michaels Craft Store and began my Halloween vision.
On the day I brought them into the conference room where the tables were already set up. My friend Joanne was tasked with making the tablecloths, she used Black Symphony Broadcloth as the first layer with two layers of Tulle on top, Orange, and Yellow. Using two different layers of Tulle really made a beautiful Harvest Autumn vibe. When I set my DIY Sunflower Skull arrangements on the table, Joanne went crazy, they were so perfect with her Tulle selection we must have had the same exact mindset when we were making our selections in completely different parts of town. The party was a roaring success and our boss gave us all a $100 bonus. I can’t recommend this project enough, it was understated, yet elegant and it really made the entire event more beautiful.
