I’m sure I’m not the only person with a pile of old jeans that no longer are part of our closet rotation! A few weeks ago I decided it was time to come up with a new project to do with a pair. Since bucket bags are very in right now I had to have one, of course!

I made my bag the way this lady does in this tutorial and used the denim and some beautiful embroidered fabric I found at JoAnn’s (I didn’t need much so it didn’t cost an arm and a leg). Or, if you’re real ambitious, you can embroidery it yourself!

I just adore this bag after having finished it. When I carry it I get compliments and inquiries about it every where I go.

When I ran across this tutorial I simply had to make one. I adore bright colored embroidery with denim. It’s such a rich and unique look.

It always feels really special when I carry it. You know that feeling when you have something you especially love and when you wear it (or carry it) it makes you feel good? Well, that’s how I feel when I carry this bag!

If you were to buy this bag I guarantee you that it would cost at least $200 retail. This is one reason I love DIY projects!

Watch how this lady with Pom Poms & Tassels makes this awesome bag in her step by step tutorial! You’re gonna love carrying it!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
