After moving to a new home, I wanted to decorate my large covered front porch by giving it some rustic charm, so I added a bench, hung some ferns up, and I had an old bird cage to add too. But it still needed something to make it pop and feel inviting.

I’m a person who loves welcoming friends and family into my home and  I ran across this tutorial. It was to perfect touch to complete the look I was going for.

It looked like an easy sign to make and it was the perfect look for my porch! I wanted something large enough to see from the street and the white letters against the stained wood really stands out…the main purposed for making this sign!

One gal on Pinterest used a piece of old fence wood and pre-cut letters from Hobby Lobby for a really vintage rustic look. As a matter of fact, I was torn as to whether to do that one of this one. I decided on a more finished look and went with this one. There are so many options for making this. If you have pallet wood, this works too!

Watch how this gal with Black & Decker makes this charming sign in this step by step tutorial…you’ll love having one of these inviting signs outside your front door!
