When my daughter was born I was constantly getting up during the night to make sure she was covered and sure enough, she was always uncovered. I was constantly worried! At the time she was an infant sleep sacks weren’t even invented.

In this day and time, my daughter has had the luxury of using these…wish I’d known about this brilliant DIY back then…it would have saved me a lot of restless nights!

I made some of these for my grandchildren because where they live it’s downright chilly. Despite my daughter’s best effort to bundle up her little ones they still woke up every night with icebox hands. That’s why I decided to make an ultra-warm, fully lined, sleep sack for them. Anything that might produce more sleep is worth the effort in my book and I didn’t want my daughter going through what I did when she was an infant.

This is the perfect way to ensure the covers stay on and you can make them in all your favorite colors and patterns. This would make a fantastic handmade gift too!

Watch how easy Miri, with Be Creative and DIY, makes this sleeping bag for her baby in her step by step tutorial. There are other patterns for making sleep sacks on Pinterest, but with this particular one Miri decided to recycle a blanket to make hers!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
