I am really excited about having seen this tutorial by SoCraftastic! I love the simple look of wire jewelry in all of it’s simple beauty. This heart is quite a statement that can complete any outfit! It’s really easy to make. If you want to make words, as she tells us in her video, it’s a little more challenging, but she does it!
What a fabulous gift to give to your best friend, sister or Mom for Valentine’s Day! They will really be surprised, but the biggest surprise is when they find out that you made it!
What you’ll need:
- Jewelry wire
- Wire cutters
- Two pairs of pliers
- Chain
- Clasp
- Jump rings
She starts by drawing her shape on a piece of paper, as her guide. She keeps her wire attached to the roll and then she starts bending it to form the shape that she’s drawn. Once the shape is completely traced she starts crossing the wires over and loops one end around a couple of times and cuts it with her wire cutter. If the end of the wire is rough, it can be filed or sanded down. Watch the rest of the video to see how she attaches the heart to the chain.
